Boubkar Benzabat is born in Paris, 14th borough, a neibourhood surrounded by many movie theaters. In his youth, his desire to devour movies made him discover great filmakers which gave him the idea of making his own films.
Boubkar studied Cinema-Audiovisual at the Honoré de Balzac International High School. He met Remi Mazet, a chef operator who hired him as a trainee electrician. Here begins his career as a machinist. He learnt the work of image, lighting and frame.
Then, shortly after this experience, Boubkar started to work as photography director and learnt about the art of steadicam.
Today, he is a photography director and a steadicam operator who knew how to work with talented movie directors. He worked on selected and winning projects in many festivals as the Berlinale or the Oscars in 2011.
Many productions trust him to turn their ideas and projects into visual products. Boubkar tries every challenge while adapting to various technical requirements.
